This week we are learning about the season winter! We read the story Little Bea and the Snowy Day, which was a great story to show the kids all the different things we can do outside in the snow! At the end of the story they made a snowman so we had to make one too! We then used q-tips to paint our snow falling from the sky in our picture!

P is for Penguin!
This week we are talking about letter P for Penguin! We read the story, "5 Little Penguins Slipping on Ice!". The kids are doing a FANTASTIC job using the glue sticks and using their listening ears regarding where to put the different pieces! So proud of how far this little ones have come since starting to become more independent at art time!

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Pilgrims!
This week we have been talking all about Thanksgiving! We read the story "One Little, Two Little, Three Little Pilgrims!" and then we made our very own pilgrim headbands! The kids had fun designing their own and watching it transform into a head piece. The all looked so cute with them on!
I had them make a "SILLY" face! |
And now an "EXCITED" face! |

Turkey's with Coffee Filter Feathers!
Today we made turkey's with coffee filter feathers! First we put the turkey together and then we used food coloring water to decorate our coffee filters. This was such a great fine motor skill using the eye droppers! We only had a few cups get knocked over, but they still turned out great!

Pumpkin Pie in a Bag!
Today we read the story, "Big Pumpkin" where the witch wanted to make pumpkin pie. So we did a version of that making pumpkin pie in a bag! The kids loved squishing the bag to mix the ingredients! It was almost a hit with all the kids, only a few of them weren't so sure of the taste. Such a great kid friendly activity!
Then we had to put our smashed graham crackers into the bottom of our cups for the crust!
Now they were able to finally eat it!
Claire was not a fan, I could only get her to try it once! |
