Name Rockets!
We learned about rockets and how we need them to be able to go in to outer space! We did this craft one-on-one to give more attention on how to spell their names! Also, the kids did great with matching letters as well as identifying the letters in there name! So proud of how smart these kids are! Don't forget to keep checking out their artwork by their pictures in our room!
We Made The Moon!
This week we are learning all about outer space! The kids LOVE this unit theme as much as I do! We are learning about all the different things we can find in space and how we can get there! Below we learned about the moon and when we can see the moon! We then used a clothespin and cotton ball to stamp out our moons!
The Itsy Bitsy Spider!
We also worked on the Itsy Bitsy Spider nursery rhyme! The kids had fun making this craft as we practiced our letter F for the week on where we were going to put our glue! They loved using their hand print as the spider!
We Painted Snow!
While trying to figure out something to put in our sensory table and thinking that we haven't been able to play outside for awhile, I brought the snow to the kids! We then watercolor painted the snow! They had so much fun and everyone loved it!
Baa Baa Black Sheep
We created baa baa black sheep by sponge painting the sheep's wool black! I think their favorite Nursery Rhyme is either Baa Baa Black Sheep or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
Hickory Dickory Dock!
Our next Nursery Rhyme was Hickory Dickory Dock! The kids love watching this video online as it does all different kinds of animals and at the end it does an elephant and he breaks the clock because he is so big!
Hey Diddle Diddle
Last week we spent a lot of time working on different Nursery Rhymes! The kids loved singing new songs all week and we will continue to sing them during transition time. We made our own book for the song Hey Diddle Diddle!
