Signing Our Colors!

We have been learning sign language in our class to help learn our colors! During our afternoon circle time we talk about a different color every day. This week Miss Amanda is only giving the hint of the sign language for the color rather than showing the kids the card first. The kids love the change up and it gives them a little bit of a challenge too! Look at the caption under the picture to help you know what color it is and how to make the sign! If you want me to show you don't be afraid to ask me at school!

Black: Drag your pointer finger across your forehead

Blue: Make the letter B sign language and wave it back and forth

Brown: Make the letter B sign language with your hand and drag it down the side of your face starting at your forehead

Green: Put all your fingers down except your pointer finger & thumb, and shake your hand back and forth

Pink: Make the above picture with your fingers, and drag your middle finger from your lip to the bottom of your chin

Purple: Make the same finger formation as pink then shake your hand back and forth in front of you

Red: Take your pointer finger, drag it down from your lip to the bottom of your chin

White: Take all 5 fingers and lay them flat on your chest, then pull away from your chest by bringing your fingers together

Orange: Make your hand in to a fist, then put to your chin, and rotate back and forth on your chin

Yellow: Make your hand look like the above picture than shake back and forth
